Payment processing (Stripe)

Payment processing (Stripe)
webcamcnc uses Stripe as our payment processor for subscriptions, billing, and certain purchases made through WebCAM CNC.
We do not receive or store your full card details
When you add or update a payment method, card numbers and card verification values (for example, CVC) are collected and processed by Stripe, not by us. Payment details are typically entered through Stripe-hosted interfaces (such as Stripe Elements, Checkout, or the Stripe Customer Portal) or other flows Stripe provides. In those setups, sensitive card data is sent directly to Stripe’s systems.
We do not store full payment card numbers or CVC codes on our servers, and we do not have access to your full card number in the ordinary course of providing the service.
What we may still see or store
Depending on how you pay and what Stripe exposes to us through our integration, we may receive and retain non-sensitive billing-related information needed to run your account, for example:
- That you have an active subscription or payment method on file
- The last four digits and brand of a card (for display in your account or receipts)
- Expiry information when Stripe provides it for display
- Stripe identifiers (such as customer or payment method IDs), invoice and charge metadata, and subscription status
This is standard for services that use Stripe with Laravel Cashier or similar integrations.
Security and compliance
Stripe is responsible for securing card data according to its role as a payment processor and maintains certifications and practices appropriate for that role (including PCI DSS). Your use of Stripe’s services is also subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy.
